Scout campout

The young men enjoyed an overnight camp out this past weekend with the
Bishopric and some of their dads. There were only a few shots taken before the camera battery died so just imagine a bunch of rowdy boys (mostly Deacons), some paintball guns, LOTS of dutch oven potatoes (eaten in haste and scraped down to the last crumb), and a big fire to try and keep warm. From what we heard, the deacons stayed up ALL night, much to the dismay of the tired Priests, and they were still able to make it up San Juan Hill on their hike the next day.

Ward Scripture Carnival

We had a very fun Ward Scripture Carnival this year. The youth and the activity committee set up booths for all ages to enjoy. Many came in Scripture attire and many as modern day Saints. We appreciate all of the work that was put into this fun activity and hope you enjoy some of the pictures from the night.

Bobbing for apples was one of the biggest hits.

Some of the children collected as many apples as their bags or pockets would carry.

The cake walk was another fun station. The kids thought that had hit the jackpot when they were allowed to "win" more than one cupcake. This lion from Daniel's Den waits to pounce on one.

Primary Activity

Our theme in Primary this year is "I am a Child of God". We decided to have an activity where each child in our primary could show what makes them special. The talents ranged from playing the violin to hopping on one foot, and everyone who participated was marvelous. We have also been working on bringing our scriptures to primary to "show Heavenly Father that we are ready to learn", and the kids earned NINE scoops of ice-cream. WAY TO GO PRIMARY! We love these kids and wanted to share with you some of the fantastic talents that make them A Child of God.
